A shutterbug is described as "an enthusiastic amateur photographer," and if that doesn't describe me right now then I don't know what does. 

I'm not a professional—I'm nowhere close to a professional. But I am incredibly eager to learn more about the art of photography, and there's no better way to learn than to practice. 

My husband gave me my camera as a wedding gift, and even though it's a pocket-sized little point and shoot, it packs a big punch when it comes to getting great shots. Seriously, don't let point and shoots fool you; they can take great photos, too! 

As for editing, I'm still learning my way around Photoshop Elements 8. Maybe one of these days I'll actually buy a guide explaining how to do things on there, but for now I'm learning by trial and error and picking things up from tutorials around the web.
